Term
TERM usually starts by the 3rd of March and ends
early in December. In April the entire school goes out for
expeditions, treks excursions and camps. All groups are escorted
by members of staff and the ratio is usually 1:10.There is a
week's break at the end of the first term, which culminates in the
OC week festivities. These include the Junior school concert, the
school fete, cricket, tennis, squash matches with the old boys and
end by the first Saturday of June.
Second term ends towards the end of August and Main school
children go out for their second trek at this time. At the end of
the Speech Day week which includes the annual school play,
exhibitions, PT and Karate display and concludes on the last
Saturday of September, there is another week's break. Children are
not expected to be taken to the plains during the June and
September breaks as the heat and pollution usually causes them to
fall ill. Most boys utilize this time for camping and for the
apprenticeship programmes organized by the Careers Club.
